No. 12 Men's Gymnastics Holds Own Against No. 2 Stanford, No. 14 Air Force

USAFA, Colo.- The 12th-ranked UIC men's gymnastics team featured top-three finishes in the all-around from Kyle Voissem and Neal Thompson in Friday night's tri-meet against second-ranked and defending national champion Stanford and No. 14 Air Force at the Falcons' Cadet West Gym. Voissem placed second in the all-around with a score of 83.900, less than a point off of all-around winner Nash Mills of Air Force. Thompson was not far behind in third with a tally of 82.550. Voissem had a fine meet, placing second on floor exercise with a 14.750 and taking fifth on vault with a 15.450. Thompson took fourth on parallel bars with a 14.650. Nikolai Korepanov finished second on still rings with a 15.200, while Andrew Stover placed fifth on floor with a 14.150. The Flames finished third at the meet, scoring a 336.200. The undefeated Cardinal won the meet with a 356.700, while the host Falcons edged UIC for second with a 338.500. UIC and Air Force will tangle in a dual meet on Sunday at 1 p.m.
