Chicago, Ill.- Three individual events wins and an all-around crown for junior Tim Morrison were not enough for the UIC men's gymnastics team in their home finale against Temple on Sunday afternoon at the UIC Physical Education Building.

Morrison won the all-around crown with a 49.450, with a second-place finish on parallel bars (8.3) and a fourth-place showing on high bar (8.350) paving the way to the win.

Senior Phil Goss stepped up in the absence of defending ECAC pommel horse champion Nick Stavros (flu), picking up a pommel horse win with an 8.750.

Sophomore Brad Trompeter continued to be a steady force, winning the still rings with an 8.950.

Freshmen Alex Kadar and Bobby Solomon gave UIC an outstanding 1-2 punch on vault, as Kadar won the event with a 9.1 followed by Solomon's second-place 9.050.

Senior Andrew Krueger looked sharp in his final home meet, placing third on floor exercise with an 8.6.

UIC scored a 198.650, edged by Temple's 203.850.

UIC celebrated Senior Day, honoring Goss, Stavros, Krueger, Tommy Kosanda, Doug Pearson and Andy Battad.

UIC is back in action this Friday and Saturday at Air Force.
