    CHICAGO - The UIC men's gymnastics team picked up a pair of event titles behind Kevin Baune and Nikolai Korepanov's performances against Minnesota at the PEB on Saturday night.

    While the Flames had a season-high team score behind the upperclassmen's victories, they were unable to match the Golden Gophers, falling to the Big Ten team 348.450-338.150.

    Senior Baune won the horizontal bar with 14.700, highlighting the Flames outing virtue of a new school record with his efforts against Minnesota.

    Korepanov, currently ranked third in the nation on the still rings from his pair of 15.300 performances against Iowa and Temple, only needed a 14.900 to finish the event the event over his competitors.

    Anthony May beat out fellow Flame Ned Kamimura for the all-around win, taking the title in 82.650 in only his second meet of the season. May placed fourth on the parallel bars (13.700).

    The Flames are back in action next weekend at Illinois at 2 p.m.
