Men's Gymnastics Tumbles To Michigan State

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's gymnastics team dropped its second-straight dual meet on Saturday night as they fell, 211.250-202.250, to Michigan State at the Physical Education Building. The final tally of 202.250 was the second-highest score posted by the Flames this season, but it was not enough to take out the Spartans. Dave Johnson, Ambrose Jackson, Matthew Soucie and Mason Vernon each posted first-place finishes for UIC on Saturday, to highlight action for the Flames. Johnson, who also placed second on the vault with a score of 9.300, took first on the rings, earning a score of 9.450. Soucie captured first on the vault with his 9.350 while Jackson and Vernon tied for top honors on the horizontal bar with each registering a 8.650. Jackson also placed third on the pommel horse with his score of 8.750. The Flames are back in action on Friday, March 2, as they travel to meet Iowa at 7:00 p.m.
