CHICAGO - The UIC men's gymnastics team put up season-best numbers against east coast foe Temple on Saturday afternoon at the Physical Education Building, defeating the Owls, 337.050-331.200.

After falling to Iowa last weekend on the road, UIC rebounded nicely at home by scoring season-high team scores on the floor, pommel horse, vault and high bar against Temple.

The Flames claimed the top spot in every event, with Alex Kadar winning the floor exercise (14.050), David Mohr on pommel horse (14.350), Nikolai Korepanov on the rings (15.300), Nick Persino on the vault (15.500), Neal Thompson on the parallel bars (13.950) and Kevin Baune on the high bar (14.400) to cap off a successful evening for UIC.

Ned Kamimura took first in the all-around competition with a score of 79.750.

UIC heads to both the Winter Cup in Las Vegas on Thursday, February 5 and then to Michigan on Saturday, February 7 next week.
