2001 Highlights:Competed as UIC’s lone all-around performer…helped propel Flames to a pair of victories over Air Force as he captured the vault on February 2nd (9.2) and February 4th (9.0)…also earned a first-place performance against the Falcons on February 4th on the pommel horse (8.7)…took home a first-place finish and season-high vault score of 9.35 against Michigan State on February 24th…pushed Flames to a team-season high score of 205.4 against Temple with season-best marks on the parallel bars (8.35) and all-around competition (50.8). 2000 Highlights: Was one of 11 gymnasts to represent UIC at the NCAA Qualifying meet on the horizontal bar…tallied a season-high 9.200 on the floor exercise in the double-dual meet with Army and UMass on March 10…career-best pommel horse score came against Michigan State on Feb. 26…landed a personal-high 9.300 on the vault against Iowa on Feb. 4…scored a career-high 9.150 on the horizontal bar against Michigan on Jan. 29 and later matched that score against Air Force on Feb. 11. 1999 Highlights: Established himself as one of UIC's most versatile athletes…set a season and career-high in the floor exercise (9.300) against Illinois on Feb. 14…twice earned scores of 9.100 on the vault against Michigan State on Feb. 6 and against Iowa on March 6. Prep/Personal: Competed on the club level in Ontario, Canada…two-time Canadian National Championships qualifier…placed 10th on the pommel horse and 12th on the high bar at the 1998 Canadian Championships…could not compete in the 1996-97 championships due to a broken hand…helped team to the 1994-95 Canadian Championships gold medal…recipient of the Ontario Scholar Award…son of Jacques and Mary Soucie…majoring in mechanical engineering.
