    UIC Student-Athletes Go Through Commencement Services

    50 student-athletes receive bachelor's degree in spring, summer sessions

    PREP AND PERSONAL: Four-time letterwinner in gymnastics at Lake Park (Ill.) ... holds IHSA state record on rings with a 9.9 his senior year ... four-time All-Conference honoree, three-time conference champ and two-time sectional champion ... named MVP all four years and team captain in his junior and senior year ... biggest athletic thrill to date is assisting his team to IHSA State in 2008 and 2009 ... born December 12, 1990 in Winfield, Ill. ... son of Donna and Gary Soper ... currently enrolled as a political science major.
