The UIC men's and women's gymnastics teams will get their respective seasons underway on Saturday when they take part in the annual Mixed Pairs exhibition meet at the Physical Education Building. Competition is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. CT.

As one of UIC's most active student-athletes, Lukasz Adamcyzk from the men's gymnastics team wears many hats. His accomplishments both in and out of the gym made him an easy choice to be recognized as one of "Forty Flames to Follow" heading into the 2013-14 athletic season. The summer series, which debuted on Monday, will alphabetically feature 40 returning UIC student-athletes once per day until early August.
