Hodges Selected UICFlames.com Student-Athlete of the Week

Men's gymnast Joseph Hodges has been selected as the UICFlames.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of April 15-21 as announced by the athletic department on Wednesday morning. The junior took home ninth place in the all-around competition at the 2013 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships this past Saturday in University Park, Pa. His ninth-place showing is the highest ever finish for the UIC program.

While competing at the NCAA Championship from April 19-21, the UIC men's gymnastics team was featured on NCAA.com by columnist Rick Houston. Houston spoke with junior Lukasz Adamczyk, senior Justin Maxwell, redshirt junior Bryan Pusateri and head coach Charley Nelson, and focused on how their hard work has finally paid off.

UIC gymnasts Joseph Hodges, Jason Gaides and Lukasz Adamczyk brought the 2013 season to a close Saturday at the Recreation Center as they wrapped competition at the NCAA Championship. Hodges was able to end the day with top scores for the Flames on all events.

Men's Gymnastics Rounds Out ECAC Individual Competition

Joseph Hodges claimed the horizontal bar title during the individual competition at the ECAC Championships Saturday at the Blake Arena. Dan Zerbel placed second on parallel bars and Lukasz Adamczyk came in second on pommel horse, while Bryan Pusateri was named ECAC Most Improved.
