Men's Basketball Hits The Road To Face Akron

AKRON, Ohio- The UIC men's basketball team is in Akron for a pre-Christmas showdown against the Zips at Rhodes Arena this Tuesday night.
The game between the Flames (3-6) and the Zips (7-3) begins at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT.
Tuesday's contest will air on tape delay on ESPN Radio 1000 AM at approximately 9:30 p.m. Central, right after the Bulls' game against the New York Knicks. The stream of the game will also begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. on ESPNChicago.com, but a live stream will be available here via Stretch Internet.
Adam Levinson will call the action with UIC great Kenny Williams providing analysis and Jordan Bernfield hosting the pre- and post-game and halftime shows.
The Flames bring a two-game winning streak into Akron, with wins over Oregon State and Northern Illinois giving UIC some momentum.
Junior guard Robo Kreps is starting to heat up, averaging 20.7 points in the last three games. He is coming off of a career performance, matching his career high in scoring with 25 points while pulling down a career-best nine rebounds in a 20-point decision over NIU.
