Flames to Hold Red-Blue Scrimmage at UIC Pavilion Friday|

CHICAGO - UIC men's basketball fans will have a chance to see the 2010-11 Flames in action on Friday night, when the team holds its first scrimmage of the season at the UIC Pavilion beginning at 7 p.m. The event, which is free-of-charge and open to the public, will also include a three-point shooting and dunk contest, and the Flames players and coaches will be signing autographs for the fans in attendance.
Additionally, 15-20 former UIC players and alumni are expected to be in attendance for the scrimmage. Concessions will be available. The first half will run for a full 20 minutes, while the second half will run 10 minutes in length. At the conclusion of the scrimmage, the three-point shooting competition will ensue, followed by the dunk contest.

The Flames will open the 2010-11 campaign on two weeks from today, Wednesday, Nov. 10, at No. 4 Pittsburgh in the opening round of the 2K Sports Classic benefitting Coaches versus Cancer.
