UIC Basketball Unveils New Uniforms For 2007-08 Season
Oct. 12, 2007
Chicago, Ill.- The UIC men's and women's basketball teams will sport a different look this season, as both squads will suit up in new uniforms that were unveiled on Friday, Oct. 12. The uniforms, created by adidas, feature a more vibrant look than in years past thanks to an increased usage of the fiery yellow that appears in the Flames' primary logo. UIC's white home jerseys feature blue trim with red and yellow bars on the side and a dash of yellow near each shoulder. The jerseys also have blue lettering and numbers that are outlined in red. The white shorts feature a thick blue strip with a diagonal yellow bar running through it on the sides, along with UIC's signature flame near the edge of both legs. adidas is the official equipment supplier for the entire UIC Athletic Department, encompassing 18 sport programs. UIC will debut its new uniforms this November. The UIC men's basketball team will wear them for the first time in game action against Lewis in an exhibition on Nov. 6 before sporting them in the regular season opener against Bradley at the UIC Pavilion on Nov. 10 at 7:00 p.m. The UIC women's basketball team will debut its new look on Nov. 2 against Australian Showtime in an exhibition at the Flames Athletic Center before the Flames' regular season home opener at the Pavilion against Northwestern on Nov. 14.
