    Gulf Coast Showcase Bracket Get Acrobat Reader

    LEXINGTON, Ky. – The bracket for the inaugural Gulf Coast Showcase was released by the tournament sponsor bd Global on Friday morning with UIC scheduled to play San Diego in the first round on Nov. 25.  The event features eight mid-major programs with each team competing in three games in three consecutive days, culminating on Nov. 27.  The eight participating squads include UIC, San Diego, Louisiana Tech, UNC-Greensboro, Wagner, Stetson, St. Bonaventure and Southern Illinois.

    Immediately following the men’s tournament, bd Global will host a women’s version of the Gulf Coast Showcase.

    “We are excited to showcase these 16 quality programs in the inaugural Gulf Coast Showcase,” said Brooks Downing, president of bd Global ( “We had been considering this market to launch a premium event of this nature, and after Florida Gulf Coast made its magical run last March, we were convinced that the Fort Myers-Naples area would be the ideal destination location to create a signature event.”

    All contests will be housed in the Germain Arena in Estero, Fla., which serves as southwest Florida’s premier entertainment venue.
