    CHICAGO- New UIC head men's basketball coach Howard Moore met the media and the UIC community during his introductory press conference at the UIC Pavilion on Monday, August 23, 2010.

    UIC chancellor Dr. Paula Allen-Meares, UIC Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Dr. Barbara Henley, retiring head coach Jimmy Collins and a plethora of UIC staff, faculty, alumni, and fans were on hand as UIC athletic director Jim Schmidt presented Moore, the former University of Wisconsin player and assistant coach and native Chicagoan, as the Flames' new basketball coach.

    With his family watching on, Moore gave a passionate, emotional and energetic speech regarding his pride for the UIC job, his happiness being back in Chicago and his vision of championship success for the program's future.
