2010 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer Bracket

CHICAGO- The UIC men's basketball team will have Toledo, the College of Charleston and Rhode Island on its slate this November as part of the 16th annual 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer, the Gazelle Group and ESPN announced.

In a game previously announced, the Flames will open the 2K Sports Classic against Pitt on Nov. 10 at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.

From there UIC will play three games at the Toledo Subregional at John F. Savage Arena in Toledo, Ohio from Nov. 19-21. The Flames will open against the host Rockets on Friday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. Central.

On Saturday, Nov. 20, UIC will meet the Cougars of the College of Charleston at 3:30 p.m. Central.

The event concludes on Sunday, Nov. 21, when the Flames take on the Rams of Rhode Island at 1:30 p.m. Central.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program, a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), exists to leverage the strength, community leadership, and celebrity status of the nation's basketball coaches in an effort to raise awareness and reduce cancer risk through education programs while raising funds for the American Cancer Society's vision of a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Since 1995, the event has raised more than $4.5 million for the benefit of Coaches vs. Cancer.

For more information on the entire event, visit www.coachesvscancerclassic.com.

The remainder of the Flames' 2010-11 schedule will be released at a later date.
