    CHICAGO- Former UIC men's basketball star Josh Mayo is playing for the Dallas Mavericks in the 2010 NBA Summer League at Las Vegas from July 9-18.

    Mayo, who played for the Flames from 2005-2009, was a two-time All-Horizon League First Team selection and ranks fourth in school history for career scoring (1,718 points). He was also an NABC All-District pick at UIC.

    Thus far Mayo has appeared in one game for coach Rick Carlisle's Mavs, playing 7:31 as a reserve in the July 9 contest against the Denver Nuggets.
