Paul Carter Named to Atlanta Hawks Summer League Roster|

CHICAGO - Former UIC men's basketball standout Paul Carter has been named to the Atlanta Hawks' Summer League roster. Beginning on Friday, July 13, the Hawks will play five games at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Carter was named to the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team at the conclusion of the 2010-11 season after averaging 14.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game on a 40.8 field goal percentage. He posted a team-high 27 double-digit scoring efforts, including three contests with 20 or more points, and tallied 11 double-doubles, including eight in Horizon League play.
Carter played one season at UIC after transferring from Minnesota, and receiving a legislative relief waiver by the NCAA which allowed him immediate eligibility for his senior campaign. He spent the majority of last season with the Idaho Stampede of the NBA's "D-League."
