CHICAGO- UIC head men's basketball coach Jimmy Collins is scheduled to appear on CBS 2 Chicago's "Monsters & Money in the Morning" this Tuesday, May 18 at 6:15 am Central.

Collins will join veteran Chicago sports personalities Dan Jiggetts and Mike North in studio to talk about Game 1 of the 2010 NBA Western Conference Finals between the Phoenix Suns and defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.

The veteran mentor of the Flames is UIC's all-time winningest coach with 218 victories in 14 seasons, taking UIC to the NCAA tournament on three occasions (1998, 2002, 2004).

He has professional basketball playing experience after stints with the Chicago Bulls and the ABA's Carolina Cougars in the early 1970s. Collins has sent numerous players to the professional basketball ranks as head coach of the Flames and as an assistant coach at Illinois, with Mark Miller, Cedrick Banks, Scott VanderMeer, Kendall Gill, Nick Anderson, Marcus Liberty, Deon Thomas and numerous others moving on to play pro ball.

"Monsters & Money in the Morning" airs weekdays from 5-7 am on CBS 2 Chicago and features sports and business segments with Jiggetts, North and financial experts Terry Savage and Mike Hegedus.
