Chicago, Ill. -Cedrick Banks, the UIC men's basketball team's all-time leading scorer, has taken his skills to the professional stage as he is currently competing for the Nebraska Cranes in the United States Basketball League.

Banks, who tallied a team-high 26 points in the Cranes' 106-88 triumph over Brooklyn on May 5th, has played four games with the team and is already second on the squad in scoring, averaging 18 points in less than 22 minutes per outing. The 6-foot-2 guard is also tallying 2.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 57% from the field and 47% from three-point range.

The Cranes, who play in Kearney, Neb., are one of eight teams in the USBL, which season runs from late April through June.
