Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's basketball team will be the No. 6 seed and will host No. 7 Wright State on Tuesday, February 28th, at 7:00 p.m., at the UIC Pavilion in the opening round of the Horizon League Tournament. The Flames (15-14) finished in a five-way tie for third place in the Horizon League with UW-Green Bay, Detroit, Loyola and Wright State at 8-8, but were slotted sixth due to their 4-4 combined record against those schools and 0-2 record versus the Ramblers. UIC was a perfect 2-0 against Wright State during the regular season, including a 69-66 home win in overtime on Saturday afternoon. The Flames are 14-1 all-time against the Raiders at the UIC Pavilion. The last time UIC was the No. 6 seed in the Horizon League Tournament was in 2002, when the Flames won the title and earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Should UIC advance past Wright State, they would head to Milwaukee, Wis., to take on #3 UW-Green Bay on Friday, March 3rd, at US Cellular Arena.
