Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's basketball team concludes a three-game road trip on Wednesday night with a pivotal Horizon League contest at Cleveland State. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. CST and fans can watch the game live via the internet by clicking on the Horizon League All-Access link on the front page of uicflames.com. The home broadcast can also be heard on the web at espnradio1000.com.

The Flames enter Wednesday night's game at 6-8 in the Horizon League and 13-14 overall. UIC, which sits in seventh place in the league, is currently one game ahead of the Vikings (10-15, 5-9), but is also just one game out of fourth place in the race to secure a possible home game in the opening round of the league tournament.

Home games go to the teams that finish No. 4-6 while the top three teams each earn at least one bye. The Flames could still finish as high as third in the league standings with a win in their last two games and some help.

Cleveland State has momentum on its side having won its last two games, earning a road win at Wright State last Wednesday and a home non-conference victory over Delaware on Saturday.

The Vikings defeated UIC in the earlier meeting this season, topping the Flames 87-83 back on Jan. 19th. The win snapped a streak of seven straight victories for UIC over Cleveland State.

The Flames are coming off a non-conference loss on Saturday at Ohio Valley Conference regular-season champion Murray State, 72-68. Freshman Josh Mayo netted a career-high 23 points in the contest, including a 5-for-5 night from three-point range.

Mayo's performance continued a hot string for the freshman, who is averaging over 16 points and shooting 60% from the field in his last five games.

Sophomore Othyus Jeffers picked up his third double-double in the last four games versus the Racers. The sophomore has tabbed 10 or more rebounds in each of his last four outings.
