Chicago, Ill. - Third place in the Horizon League will be on the line when the UIC men's basketball team meets one of the hottest teams in the league on Saturday evening as the Flames travel to take on Cleveland State at the Wolstein Center at 4:30 pm. CST. The game can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1000 AM with Dave Wills and Denny Wills bringing you all the action. The Flames (11-10, 6-5) currently are in sole possession of third place in the Horizon League, but sit just a half-game ahead of Cleveland State (9-11, 6-6) in the standings. The Vikings, who are tied for fourth place with Detroit, have been red hot of late, winning five of their last six games, including their first-ever victory at Butler on Thursday night. Senior Omari Westley has led CSU's charge as the 6-foot-7 forward leads the Horizon League in both scoring (17.5 ppg) and rebounding (8.6 rpg). UIC has won the last four meeting with Cleveland State and has won its last five games at the newly named Wolstein Center, dating back to the Flames' run to the 2002 Horizon League Tournament title in Cleveland. Senior Cedrick Banks leads UIC in scoring at 16.0 points per game. The Flames have received strong play from junior Elliott Poole of late as well, with the former Farragut High School product tallying 18.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in his last two games.
