Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's basketball team looks for its fifth win in its last six games on Saturday night when the Flames welcome cross-town rival Loyola to the UIC Pavilion for a pivotal Horizon League Contest. Tip time is set for 7:00 p.m. with the game being aired live on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

Flames fans can listen to the home broadcast on ESPN Radio 1000 AM.

UIC (12-12, 5-7) enters Saturday's contest playing some of its best basketball of the season, having won four of its last five games. The Flames are limiting opponents to just 62.5 ppg during that stretch while committing just 9.6 turnovers and boasting a +7.2 rebounding margin.

UIC is currently tied for sixth in the league standings with Loyola (13-9, 5-7). Both teams are striving to secure at least a first-round bye in the upcoming Horizon League Tournament which comes from finishing in the top six.

The Ramblers have lost three of their last five outings, including a 10-point defeat at UW-Green Bay on Thursday night.

The key to Saturday's game could be Loyola's ability to reach the 70-point mark. The Horizon League's top scoring offense is 11-2 this season when scoring at least 70 points while UIC is 10-3 when its opponent scores under 70.

The Flames will also have to contain the one-two scoring punch from Rambler guards Blake Schilb and Majak Kou. The duo has combined for almost 40 points per outing in their last four meetings with UIC.

Junior Jovan Stefanov has stepped up his game of late for UIC, averaging 14.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in his last two games. Sophomore Othyus Jeffers, who tallied a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds in his last outing, continues to lead the Flames in rebounding (7.5 rpg) and assists (3.0 apg).

Senior Justin Bowen, UIC's leading scorer (15.3 ppg) ranks in the top 10 in the Horizon League in scoring (9th), rebounding (7.1/6th), field goal percentage (53%/5th) and free throw percentage (78%/9th).
