Chicago, Ill.- The UIC men's basketball team prepares to take on its first ranked opponent of the year this Saturday, as the Flames face No. 14/15 Butler at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Tip between the Flames (10-9, 4-4 Horizon League) and the Bulldogs (18-2, 7-2 Horizon League) is slated for 1:00 p.m. Central.

Adam Levinson will call the action live via Stretch Internet Radio on The game will also be shown live online through the Horizon League Network.

Butler, ranked 15th in the AP Top 25 and 14th in the ESPN/USA Today Poll this week, will be the Flames' first nationally-ranked foe since UIC played then-No. 13 Butler at Hinkle on Jan. 29, 2007.

The then-No. 12 Bulldogs became the Flames' highest-ranked victim in school history last season after a 73-67 overtime win by the Flames at the Pavilion on Jan. 10, 2007.

Two Indiana natives pace the UIC charge as the Flames head to Indianapolis for Saturday's clash.

Josh Mayo of Merrillville continues to lead the Flames in scoring at 17.7 points per game while entering the week as the nation's most accurate three-point shooter. Through Thursday Mayo is hitting from downtown at a rate of 54.2 percent (58-for-107).

Dyer native Scott VanderMeer now leads the Horizon League in rebounding with 7.5 caroms per contest following a career-high 21-rebound effort at Valparaiso on Thursday.
