Men's Basketball Travels To Meet Wright State On Wednesday

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's basketball team will try and climb the ladder in the Horizon League standings on Wednesday night as they travel to Dayton, Ohio, to take on Wright State at 6:00 p.m. CST. UIC (8-11, 1-6) enters its tilt with the Raiders in the midst of a six-game losing streak, but can get right into the mix in the Horizon League with a win on Wednesday as the Flames find themselves just two games in the loss column behind four teams with four league losses. Wright State has lost its last two games, falling at UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee last week. The Raiders currently sit in second place in the league with a 4-2 record and are 8-8 overall. Wright State features the league's second-best scoring defense, allowing less than 63 points per game, but the Raiders offense ranks last in the league at 61.9 ppg. Senior Justin Bowen continues to lead the team in scoring (15.9 ppg), rebounding (7.4 rpg) and field goal percentage (53%). Freshman point guard Josh Mayo has been strong for the Flames of late as well, tallying over 11 points and three assists in his last four outings.
