    2001-02 Highlights:Played in two games his senior year, getting the starting nod on 'Senior Day' versus Loyola on Feb. 16...missed most of the year due to knee problems...tallied two points, a rebound, an assist and a steal in the Flames' win over the Ramblers.

    2000-01 Highlights: As a junior, saw his first action of the season against Loyola on Jan. 20 … did not play in the first 16 games of the campaign as doctor’s explored an abnormal heart condition … played in a total of nine games and averaged 6.4 minutes a game … tallied 2.1 ppg … shot 46.2% from the field in his limited action … put in a career-high 11 points against Butler in the regular-season finale on Feb. 24 as he hit 4-of-6 from the field and both three-point attempts … also collected a season-best three rebounds against the Bulldogs … tallied two points on three different occasions.

    1999-00 Highlights: Appeared in 24 games while earning the starting nod in 13 contests, including the final 10 games of the year … averaged 3.6 ppg, 1.6 rpg and 2.1 assists … improved to 4.8 ppg, 2.4 rpg and 2.8 assists when among the starting five … shot 39.4% from the field and 71.4% at the free throw line … tallied a (then) career-high 10 points in back-to-back outings with Southern Illinois on Dec. 11 and Florida International on Dec. 16 … handed off a personal-best six assists in UIC’s MCC Tournament semifinal matchup with Detroit on March 5.

    1998-99 Highlights: In his rookie season, played in 18 of 28 games and averaged 6.6 minutes an outing … averaged 0.8 ppg and 0.4 rpg … tallied a (then) career-high three points versus Marquette on Dec. 31 … played a season-high 17 minutes and handed off three assists in the campaign-opener at Purdue on Nov. 16 … also dished out three helpers in the home outing with Montana on Dec. 27 … had two points and two assists in just five minutes against Butler on Jan. 11 … grabbed a season-high three rebounds versus Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Feb. 13.

    1997-98 Highlights: Used the year as a redshirt season and practiced with the squad.

    Prep/Personal Highlights: Was a four-year letterwinner for the Thunderbirds as a point guard ... as a senior, he averaged 16.1 ppg, 5.3 steals and 6.2 assists as Thornwood finished with a 17-9 mark ... helped the Thunderbirds to three consecutive second-place finishes in the SICA East Conference … earned a spot on the all-conference squad as a junior and senior ... also received second team all-area accolades ... was #65 out of the top 100 seniors in Larry Butler's Spotlite Magazine … born April 4, 1979 … son of Eddie and Tereca Mixson … majoring in Communications.
