2001-02 Highlights: Appeared in all 34 games for UIC as a senior, getting the starting nod in eight contests...averaged 6.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in his final season with the Flames...broke double figures in scoring on nine occasions during the year...came through big for the Flames in their Horizon League Championship win over Loyola on March 5, tallying 12 points (career-high four three-pointers) and grabbing three rebounds...netted seven points and grabbed two rebounds versus #3 Oklahoma in the opening round of the 2002 NCAA Tournament in Dallas, Texas on March 15...splashed in 10 points in UIC?s Horizon League quarterfinal win over UW-Milwaukee on March 2...started and scored 10 points in UIC?s win over Loyola on Feb. 16...tabbed a team-high 13 points at IPFW on Jan. 19...scored 12 points and snagged four rebounds in UIC?s win over Hofstra on Dec. 28...followed that up with nine points, four rebounds and four assists versus South Florida (Dec. 29) at the USF Holiday Classic...has scored in double figures seven times this season...came off the bench to score 10 points and pilfer a career-best tying three steals versus SMS on Dec. 21...tallied a season-best 14 points versus NIU (Dec. 15)...totaled 10 points and handed out three assists at Old Dominion on Dec. 1.

2000-01 Highlights: As a junior, finished third on the team in scoring with 10.3 ppg while also grabbing 3.0 rpg ? shot 41.5% from the field and 74.2% at the free throw line ? his 49 assists were third most ? scored in double figures 14 times and garnered game-high scoring honors seven times ? put in 10.9 ppg against MCC foes ? led UIC with 16 points at Wright State on Jan. 27 and tallied 14 points against the Raiders on Feb. 22 ? passed off a career-high eight assists against Loyola on Jan. 20 ? poured in a career-high 33 points with six rebounds and six assists in 55 minutes against UW-Milwaukee on Jan. 11 ? was named the MCC Player of the Week for his efforts against the Panthers ? led UIC with 19 points and a career-best eight boards versus #9 Illinois on Dec. 29 ? topped the Flames with 18 points in the win over Southern Illinois on Dec. 9.

1999-00 Highlights: After preparing to redshirt the season, was called into action in mid-December to handle the point guard duties ? played in a total of 19 outings while starting in 11 ? finished up with averages of 7.1 ppg, fifth-most on the team, and 2.1 rpg while handing off a total of 39 assists ? improved to 7.4 ppg in MCC action ? hit 71% (22-of-31) at the free throw line ? scored a season-high 20 points against Cleveland State on Jan. 8 while scoring in double figures seven times ? led the Flames with 16 points against UNC Charlotte in the first round of the Puerto Rico Holiday Classic on Dec. 21 ? added a team-high 14 points and passed off seven assists in UIC's victory over Illinois State on Dec. 30 ? chipped in 11 points, seven assists and four rebounds to the Flames' win over Detroit in the MCC opener on Jan. 6.

1998-99 Highlights: Played in 27 of 28 games in his rookie season while earning the starting nod in three outings ? finished the year with averages of 3.0 ppg and 1.0 rpg ? improved to nearly four points a game in conference outings ? enjoyed the best game of his freshman year in the home win over Loyola on Jan. 23 as he tallied a career-high 16 points off the bench after hitting 5-of-6 from the field and 2-of-4 from three-point range ? added season-bests of four rebounds and three steals to the victory ? added four points, four assists and three rebounds to the overtime win against Florida International.

Prep/Personal Highlights: As a senior, he led Ladue to a 21-8 record and a Suburban East Conference title with a team-high average of 17.9 ppg to go along with 4.6 rpg and 71 steals ... shot 56.1% (179-of-319) from the field and 51.1% (47-of-92) from three-point range and was equally impressive at the charity stripe, draining 76.2% (115-of-151) of his attempts ... scored a career-high 29 points in outings versus Troy High School and DeSmet High School ... was named the Suburban East Conference Player of the Year while also garnering First Team All-State Class 4A accolades, First Team All-District and First Team All-Metro recognition ... a McDonald's All-American Honorable Mention, he finished his career as the third leading scorer in the school's history ... participated in the nationally known Coca-Cola Shootout at the Kiel Center in St. Louis and was recognized as one of the most athletic among the field ... as a junior, he averaged 17.2 ppg and 4.7 rpg for a Ladue squad which finished 18-10 and went 8-0 in the Suburban East Conference ... shot 48% (191-of-398) from the field and 32.6% (45-of-138) from three-point range ... also contributed 47 assists, 74 steals and 20 blocked shots ... career-high 29 points came against Francis Howell High School ? a member of the Ladue All-Academic Team as a senior ? born November 18, 1980 ? son of Clyde and Laverne Mitchom ? majoring in Sociology.
