2001-02 Highlights: Appeared in 31 games as a sophomore...averaged 3.0 points and 1.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 41% from behind the three-point arc...tabbed two points and two rebounds in five minutes of action in UIC's loss to #3 Oklahoma in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on March 15...scored three points and grabbed a rebound in UIC's Horizon League Championship win over Loyola on March 5...tied his career high with four assists while scoring five points in UIC's win over UW-Green Bay on Feb. 9...collected a season-high six rebounds versus IPFW on Jan. 19 while tying his season best with two assists...splashed in a pair of key treys and finished with six points versus SMS on Dec. 22...tied his season-best with 11 points in UIC's win over Northern Illinois on Dec. 15...netted 11 points, going 4-for-4 from the foul line, versus North Central (Ill.) on Dec. 8...scored four points and snagged two rebounds in UIC's triumph over St. Joesph's (Ind.) on Nov. just eight minutes of play versus Evansville (Nov. 27), posted a then season-high seven points on 2-for-4 shooting.

2000-01 Highlights: In his rookie season, he played in all 28 games while picking up six starts ... averaged 5.6 ppg during the year and 4.3 ppg against MCC foes while scoring in double figures six times ... in 17.1 minutes a game, he also averaged 2.7 rpg with 29 assists and 13 steals ... led UIC with 11 points at UW-Milwaukee on Feb. 10 ... added 12 points and six rebounds to the win over Loyola on Jan. 20 ... put in 10 points and collected seven rebounds in the victory over Chicago State on Dec. 29 ... in the win over Drake on Dec. 4, he finished with season-highs of 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists ... at Michigan State on Dec. 2, in his first collegiate start, he ended up with 11 points.

Prep/Personal Highlights: As a senior at Lincoln Park High School, he averaged 24.0 ppg and 9.0 rpg en route to Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune and Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State honors ... shot 70% from the field, 49% beyond the three-point arc and 90% at the free throw line ... also added 4.9 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocked shots a game ... season-high points was 41 while his campaign-best rebound total was 15 ... in addition to all-state honors, he also collected All-Public League First Team and all-area accolades ... was selected to the USA Today Honorable Mention All-USA Team ... helped the Lions to a 21-9 overall record and a Public League Red North championship ... was nominated for the McDonald's All-America game ... as a junior, he tallied 20.4 ppg and 12.4 rpg in leading Lincoln Park to a conference title ... hit 62% from the field and 82.4% at the charity stripe while also passing off just over six assists an outing ... earned Second Team All-City honors as well as all-state honorable mention ... named one of the Top 100 players in the country by Hoop Scoop ... was one of five Chicagoans selected to participate in Team USA's Junior Olympic Trials in 1999 ... born April 20, 1982 ... son of David Carr and Denise Young.
