CHICAGO – UIC head baseball coach Mike Dee announced more changes to the schedule on Tuesday afternoon, which involved canceling Tuesday’s game at Notre Dame.  Temperatures are expected to be below freezing all afternoon and throughout the evening hours rendering conditions unplayable.

Coach Dee also announced that the Flames’ scheduled trip to Milwaukee this weekend for a three-game series will now take place at Granderson Stadium on UIC’s campus.  Game dates and times have yet to be announced.

The Flames claimed a series victory against Horizon League-foe Valparaiso this past weekend, winning both games of a doubleheader on Saturday by final scores of 5-4 and 6-3.  Junior Tyler Detmer was named the Horizon League’s Batter of the Week for the period of March 17-23.  Detmer hit .333 on the week and tallied nine RBI and six runs scored.  He also belted his first career grand slam against Northern Illinois last Tuesday.
