UICFlames.com recently sat down with Curtis Granderson of the New York Yankees and UIC assistant head coach Sean McDermott to discuss various topics surrounding Flames baseball.

Granderson played three seasons for UIC, earning Second-Team All-American honors his junior year.  The Lynwood, Ill., native, was then drafted in the third round of the 2002 MLB draft by the Detroit Tigers.  This past season as a member of the Yankees, Granderson was given the Silver Slugger Award and finished fourth in the A.L. MVP voting.
