CHICAGO- The UIC baseball team scored nine times in the game's first three innings to spur an overwhelming 14-0 victory over Trinity International at Les Miller Field on Tuesday.

One night after scoring 16 runs, the Flames (22-20) tallied four in the first inning and never looked back for a second consecutive double-digit decision.

Tony Altavilla and Andy Leonard (four RBI) each went yard, and five UIC players drove in at least two runs apiece.

Nate Orf went 4-for-6 at the dish and scored four runs.

Chris Kovacevich tossed the first 4.2 innings of Tuesday's staff start without yielding a run to earn his fifth win of the year. Kovacevich and six other UIC hurlers combined on a two-hitter against the Trojans (11-28).

UIC wraps up its home slate this Friday, May 8 with a Horizon League doubleheader against Milwaukee beginning at 2 p.m. Senior Day festivities will take place following Friday's nightcap.
