    Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago freshman right-hander Ryan Zink tossed a complete-game three-hitter to propel the host Flames to the 5-1 Horizon League victory over Wright State in Game One of their twinbill at Les Miller Field on Saturday afternoon.

    With the victory, UIC extends its winning streak to a season-high six games and improves to 18-9 overall and 2-0 in Horizon League action. Wright State falls to 11-18 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.

    Zink (4-2) retired the first 12 batters that he faced, before Wright State designated hitter Bryan Vickers led off the fifth inning with a single. The Madison, Wis. native, faced one batter over the minimum 21 and finished with four strikeouts on the afternoon.

    Wright State starter Chris Coleman allowed five runs and 10 hits, falling to 4-4 on the campaign.

    Senior third baseman Nelson Gord led the Flames offensively with three hits on the afternoon, while designated hitter Ted Rosinski picked up two RBI.
