    Chicago, Ill.- Despite another solid outing on the mound from rookie right-hander Steve Crnkovich, the UIC baseball team fell to UW-Milwaukee by a 3-1 count in the opener of Saturday's twinbill at Les Miller Field.

    Crnkovich tossed 7.2 innings of one-run ball before being taken out in the eighth with two on. Andrew Davis came on in relief and allowed two straight RBI singles that gave the Panthers the lead for good.

    Chad Schroeder drove in the Flames' only run on a sac fly in the third.

    UIC and UW-Milwaukee resume the doubleheader at 3:05 p.m.
