New Orleans, La. - New Orleans tagged University of Illinois at Chicago pitcher Scott Anderson for seven runs in 4.2 innings to help lead the host Privateers to the 7-1 non-conference victory over the Flames at Maestri Field on Wednesday night.

UNO outfielder Brad Domreis led the charge for the Privateers, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored. UNO also received solid efforts from Justin Guy and Mike Sanchez as the pair knocked in two runs apiece for the Privateers.

With the victory, New Orleans improves to 14-9 on the campaign, while UIC falls to 2-9 overall.

Josh Euper picked up the win for the Privateers, allowing five hits in six innings of work, while striking out four. Thomas Diamond picked up the save for UNO, striking out five batters and giving up three hits in three innings of work. Anderson (0-2) took the loss for the Flames.

Senior designated hitter Weber Bowen extended his hitting streak to seven games with an RBI double in the top of the fourth inning. Catcher Kevin Nelson and second baseman Bryan Russo also had two base knocks on the evening.

UIC will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, as they will begin their home slate with a double-header against Viterbo at 1:00 p.m.
