    Box Score

    Homestead, Florida - Pitchers beware.

University of Illinois at Chicago junior right fielder Curtis Granderson (Lynwood, Ill./T.F. South) is making his presence felt at the plate for the UIC Flames as he leads the team in batting with an average of .490.

Granderson continued his torrid pace on Monday afternoon as he went 3-for-4, with four runs scored, four RBI, a stolen base and a home run to lead UIC to the 12-0 victory over Drexel at the Homestead Challenge.

Junior designated hitter Weber Bowen (Minneapolis, Minn./Blake School) was the only other Flames' batter to notch at least two hits as he was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Freshman left hander Ryan Gehring (Burlington, Wis./Burlington Central Catholic) turned in an impressive performance for the Flames as he scattered four hits in seven innings, while striking out eight Dragons' batters to earn his second career victory.

UIC will be back in action on Thursday afternoon, as they will square off with Drexel again at 1:30 PM (CST).
