    Homestead, Florida - Rider scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn the 11-9 come-from-behind victory over the University of Illinois at Chicago on Saturday afternoon at the Homestead Challenge.

    Junior Curtis Granderson (Lynwood, Ill./T.F. South) was 4-for-6 with two RBI to lead UIC (7-3).

    Junior reliever Eric Xidis (Merrillville, Ind./Merrillville) took the loss for the Flames, while Rider's Ken Pearce pitched two and one-third innings of scoreless relief for the Broncos for the victory.
