St. Louis, Mo. - University of Illinois at Chicago senior shortstop Jeff Gremley continued to dominate Saint Louis pitching, as the Frankfort, Ill., native went 4-for-5 with five runs scored and four RBI, including his first homer in a UIC uniform, to lead the Flames to the 14-7 non-conference victory and the series sweep over the host Billikens at the Billiken Sports Center on Sunday afternoon.

For the series, Gremley batted .692 (9-for-13) with nine runs scored, three doubles, two triples, one homer and eight RBI against the Billikens.

Gremley was not the only Flame to go yard on Sunday, as outfielders Larry Gempp Jr. (2-for-4) and Shane Crowder (4-for-5, 5 RBI) each connected for their first career homers.

With the victory, UIC improves to 3-8 overall, while the Billikens drop to 2-10 on the campaign.

Senior southpaw Tom Szalewski (1-1) picked up the victory for the Flames in relief, allowing two runs and five hits in 4.1 innings of work, while fanning three batters. Saint Louis starter Lance Rhodes was tagged with the loss, surrendering seven runs and six hits in two innings pitched.

UIC will be back in action on Friday morning, as they will travel to Bradenton, Fla., to take on Iowa at 9:00 a.m. (CST).
