Fayetteville, Ark. - The Arkansas pitching staff continued to stymie the bats of the University of Illinois at Chicago baseball team as Josh Smith and Shaun Siebert scattered six hits as the #14 Razorbacks rolled to the 9-2 victory and completed the three-game sweep over the Flames in front of 6,389 fans at Baum Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Seibert (1-0) picked up the victory for Arkansas, tossing 4.2 innings of scoreless, 1-hit relief, while striking out five batters. As a team, UIC batted .163 for the weekend.

With the victory, Arkansas improves to 12-1 on the campaign, while the Flames remain winless at 0-8.

Arkansas right fielder Jake Dugger led the Razorbacks offensively with three RBI, including a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning. Razorbacks' shortstop Scott Hode went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored, while teammate Scott Bridges went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

UIC freshman Travis Kempf (0-1) took the loss for UIC, giving up four runs and seven hits in five innings of work. Senior center fielder Mike Bruszer led the Flames' offensively, going 2-for-3 with a RBI.

UIC will be back in action on Friday, as they will travel to Missouri to square off with Saint Louis for a three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
