Career Highlights: Drafted by the New York Yankees in the 17th round (544th overall) of the 2007 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on June 8, 2007...finished three-year UIC career with a 24-12 record...his 24 victories are tied for second all-time in school history...also second all-time for career strikeouts (208)...career ERA of 3.32 is fifth-best in UIC history.

2007: Tremendous finish to first season back on mound...took the ball in 13 starts...went 7-3 overall...worked 70 innings...tossed a one-hitter in eight innings of work against 16th-ranked and top regional seed Long Beach State at the 2007 NCAA Long Beach Regional to guide UIC to a 4-1 upset win and the program's first-ever NCAA postseason victory...named to the 2007 NCAA Long Beach All-Regional Team...Horizon League All-Tournament Team selection after shutting out Wright State for seven innings on May 25...made first appearance on the mound since undergoing Tommy John surgery last year in a start at No. 14 Georgia Tech on Feb. 17.

2006: Sat out the 2006 season to recover from reconstructive surgery on the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow (also known as Tommy John surgery) last March...retained two years of eligibility.

2005: Selected to the All-Horizon League Second Team...went 8-6 overall with three saves in 22 appearances...made 16 starts...registered a team-best 74 strikeouts...set the single-season school record with 119 innings pitched...named the Horizon League Championship's Most Valuable Player while making the League Championship All-Tournament Team after posting a 1-0 record and a save with no runs allowed in 12 innings of work...pitched a complete-game four-hit shutout against Youngstown State in the league semifinals on May 27...pitched three innings of one-hit relief while striking out three to earn the save and propel the Flames to a 9-6 win over UW-Milwaukee in the Horizon League Championship title-clinching game on May 29...fanned a season-best nine batters in 10 innings of work for a win against Iowa on Mar. 18...earned Horizon League Pitcher of the Week honors and College Baseball Foundation National Honor Roll recognition after performance against Iowa...named the league's Pitcher of the Week for period ending May 15 after going 1-0 with a save against Youngstown State the previous weekend.
