    2003 Highlights: Appeared in relief in six games?tied a career-high with six strikeouts and held Richmond scoreless in 3.1 innings of work in the NCAA Regionals...pitched two innings of scoreless relief in a 17-2 victory over Lakeland on May 6th?tossed one inning of relief in UIC?s 11-4 victory over Cleveland State in the Horizon League Tournament.

    2002 Highlights: Earned saves in his first two appearances of the season against Florida A&M?earned his first victory in a UIC uniform as he pitched 1.2 innings of scoreless relief in a 7-6 win over Florida A&M?pitched 6.2 innings of relief while striking out five batters to help UIC clinch the Horizon League regular-season title with a 10-5 victory over UW-Milwaukee on May 19th?struck out a season-high six batters, while scattering 10 hits to earn the 4-3 triumph over Butler?started seven of the 16 games that he appeared in.

    Prior to UIC: Began his collegiate career at Parkland College in Champaign, Ill?as a sophomore in 2001, he led the Cobras with 13 victories to just one loss while compiling a 3.26 ERA?in 89 innings of work he struck out 89 batters while issuing just 10 walks?also surrendered 74 hits, 42 runs and 33 earned runs?his 13 wins were a single-season school record?following the season he was named a Second Team All-American as well as the Central Illinois Conference Pitcher of the Year?also earned first team all-conference, all-region and all-district accolades?helped Parkland to a 52-13 overall record and a Central Illinois Conference championship as well as Region 24 and District titles while finishing fifth at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II World Series.
