1999: Came on strong at the end of the season and batted .355 over the final 13 games of the year?finished the season with a .235 batting average and added 15 runs scored and eight RBI?played in 37 games in center field while starting in 27?had a great conference weekend against Detroit as he compiled a .500 batting average with six runs scored, three RBI, a double and two triples?stole four bases in five attempts?performed flawlessly in the field with 54 putouts and three assists.

Prior to UIC: Played two years at Morton College in Cicero, Ill....as a freshman, he hit two home runs in one inning against Kankakee Junior College as he led off the inning with a solo shot and then followed up with a grand slam...in his sophomore season, he made the Illinois Junior College All-Star Team.

Prep/Personal: Lettered two years as a center fielder at St. Joseph High School...named most valuable player as a sophomore and earned the Golden Glove Award as a senior... garnered East Suburban Catholic All-Conference Honorable Mention as a senior...a member of the academic all-conference team as well as the Dean's List...born December 6, 1977...son of Michael and Rita Schicker...majoring in Business Management.
