2002 Highlights: Started three games for the Flames and appeared in nine contests…struck out 15 batters in 16 innings of work…picked up first victory of the season, allowing one hit in three innings of work for a 14-1 win over the University of Chicago on April 10th…scattered five hits in 5.2 innings of work to lead UIC to the 20-6 victory over Judson College on April 16th…fanned five MacMurray batters in four innings of work on May 8th.
2001 Highlights: As a junior, he compiled a 6.56 ERA with a 2-2 record…picked up six starts during the year while making a total of 10 appearances…held foes to a .244 batting average, which was second-lowest on the Flames’ staff…in 23.1 innings of work, he struck out 17…picked up his first victory of the season against Belmont on Feb. 18 as he tossed six innings and allowed a pair of hits with one unearned run while fanning a pair…earned his second decision of the year versus Lakeland on May 9 after working four shutout innings and one-hitting the Muskies.
2000 Highlights: Made 14 appearances and nine starts on the mound and finished up with a 2-0 record, two saves and a 4.23 ERA, which was third-lowest on the team…in 38.1 innings pitched, he surrendered 26 hits and 18 earned runs while striking out 26…held the opposition to a .191 batting average, which was lowest on the UIC pitching staff…turned in a strong showing against Evansville on March 25 as he tossed six innings of no-hit ball with a pair of strikeouts before turning the mound over Gene Rausch…picked up his first win of the year against St. Ambrose on April 2 as he worked six complete innings and gave up just one hit with seven strikeouts…his second victory of the season came against Wright State on April 9 as he worked five innings with three hits and a pair of K's.
1999 Highlights: Worked in relief in his first year of collegiate ball, appearing in nine games…finished the season with a 6.32 ERA and an 0-2 record…held opponents to a stingy .213 batting average…struck out 15 batters in 15.2 innings of work…earned his first save in the 7-6 win over Fordham during the spring trip to Florida as he tossed one and a third innings and struck out one.
Prior to UIC: Began his collegiate career at Kansas City Kansas Community College in the fall of '97 and then transferred to Morton College in Cicero, Ill., the following spring...was unable to pitch for the Panthers, however, as KCKCC did not sign a release.
