2009: Made seamless transition from starting pitcher to lockdown closer...made 25 relief appearances...posted a 2.58 ERA in 45.1 innings of work...unbeaten 6-0 during the regular season slate...perfect 7-for-7 in save opportunities... struck out 35 batters while issuing 12 walks (including six intentional free passes)...went more than a month without surrendering an unintentional base on balls, spanning Apr. 11-May 22... allowed no runs in his last five appearances of the regular season (a span of 6.2 innings)...gave up just four earned runs in last 29.2 innings of the regular season after allowing four earned runs in his first 7.2 innings of the season...picked up first career save with two innings of scoreless work at Missouri on Mar. 24...named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 30 after going 2-0 and picking up first career save in five scoreless innings of relief from Mar. 24-28...signed with the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League after his senior season.

2008: Horizon League Newcomer of the Year...All-Horizon League Second Team selection...Horizon League All-Newcomer Team pick...started 13 games...made 19 total appearances, totaling a team-high 97.1 innings...owned team's best earned run average at 3.79, which ranked third in the Horizon League...went 6-2 on the season, winning his first four decisions...went the distance on three occasions, including a pair of nine-inning complete games...struck out 47 batters...debuted with a six-inning start at Tulane on Feb. 23...held No. 13 Baylor to just one hit and one run in 5.2 innings on Mar. 1...allowed just one run while fanning five in 6.1 frames at fifth-ranked Vanderbilt on Mar. 7...picked up first Division I victory by allowing just two runs in seven innings against Northwestern on Mar. 14...tossed a complete-game gem against Wright State on Mar. 29, allowing just two runs and limiting the Raiders to just three hits and no runs in the final six innings...recorded his second complete game in as many starts with a one-run, six-strikeout win over Butler on Apr. 4...struck out a season-high seven hitters in a win over Valparaiso on May 17.

Prior to UIC: Pitched for Butte College in Oroville, Calif....two-time All-Golden Valley Conference First Team selection...two-time All-Nor-Cal...2006 GVC Pitcher of the Year...helped the Roadrunners win a Golden Valley Conference title...as a freshman posted a 3.43 ERA with a 10-4 record, fanning 67 in 99.2 innings...went 6-4 with a 3.03 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 101 innings as a sophomore.
