    2001 Highlights: In his first season of action, he played in 14 games while earning the starting nod in six, including five behind the plate...compiled a .241 batting average with seven hits, four runs scored and three RBI...drew five walks to four strikeouts...defensively he was solid, totaling 24 putouts and a pair of assists without any errors...best outing of the season was a 2-for-4 with one run scored and one double versus Viterbo on March 31.

    2000 Highlights: Gained valuable experience by using the year as a redshirt season and will keep four years of eligibility.

    Prep/Personal: In his four years at Waubonsie Valley, he helped the Warriors to a school record 112-22 overall record, including a 27-9 mark in 1999?as a senior, he batted .360 with 41 hits, 31 runs scored and team-bests of 45 RBI, second-most in school history, and seven home runs?at the plate, he also recorded 11 doubles while hitting a school-record two grand slams during the year?behind the plate, he threw out 52% of attempted base stealers?following the stellar campaign, he garnered numerous post-season accolades including unanimous Upstate Eight All-Conference recognition and Daily Herald, Beacon News and Naperville Sun All-Area honors?was also selected to the Upstate Eight All-Academic Team?participated in the 1999 Class AA IHSA Hitting Derby?also played three years of hockey for the Warriors?born December 16, 1980?son of Peter and Beth Marin?majoring in psychology.
