2003 Highlights: Appeared in 24 games during the season…batting .412 (7-for-17) with eight RBI and six runs on the campaign…went 1-for-1 with two RBI and a stolen base in a 16-14 loss at the hands of Saint Louis on March 8th…in his lone start of the season, collected two hits, two runs and a RBI against MacMurray on May 6th…picked up two runs and two RBI against Trinity International on April 16th.
2002 Highlights: Was UIC’s top utility player…started 31 of the 41 games he appeared in…went 4-for-7 with four RBI and three runs scored, including his first career home run – a grand slam in a 27-1 victory over Tennessee-Martin on March 8th…went 2-for-2 with a solo homer in a 14-1 triumph over the University of Chicago on April 10th…collected three hits, two runs and a RBI to help lead UIC to the 11-3 victory over Detroit.
2001 Highlights: In his first season of action, played in 35 games and spent most of his time at second base while also playing shortstop and third base…compiled a .195 batting average with 13 runs scored and 12 RBI in 87 at-bats…extra base hits included a pair of doubles and two triples…had four multiple-hit outings during the year, including a 3-for-3 showing versus Indiana on March 2 and a 3-for-5 outing with three RBI and a pair of runs scored against Viterbo March 30…went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and two RBI in the win over Lakeland on May 9.
2000 Highlights: Used the year as a redshirt season.
Prep/Personal: Played three seasons on Galesburg's varsity squad and enjoyed a strong senior year as the Silver Streaks' leader for batting average (.439), runs batted in (26), runs scored (29) and home runs (eight)…was perfect in the stolen base department with four thefts in four attempts…was selected to the Western Big 6 All-Conference and All-Academic Teams following the year…compiled a .279 average at the plate in his junior campaign to go along with 24 runs and 16 RBI…led Galesburg with five home runs in addition to seven doubles and one triple…played 20 games on the varsity team as a sophomore and batted .373…born March 1, 1981…son of Mike and Monica Homco…plans to pursue a degree in Architecture.
