1999: Enjoyed his best season yet and for his effort, earned a spot on the All-MCC First Team?compiled a .368 batting average, which was second-best on the squad, while tallying 71 hits, a team-high 18 doubles, 38 RBI and 36 runs scored?led UIC with 24 multiple-hit games, including 18 games with at least two hits and five games with three hits?set a school record with seven hits in seven plate appearances in a win over Illinois Tech?put together a 13-game hitting streak early in the year during which he batted .500 (30-for-60) with 16 RBI and 13 runs scored?hit .313 at the MCC Tournament and .290 during the MCC regular season?led UIC with 149 assists in the field and finished the year with a .942 fielding percentage.

1998: UIC's starting second baseman in 35 of 36 games...compiled a .237 batting average with 17 runs scored and 12 RBI...registered three doubles, one triple and two home runs...longest hitting streak of the year was five games during which he batted .412 (7-for-17) with four runs scored and two RBI...batted .423 (11-for-26) during the team's spring trip to Florida, including a 3-for-4 showing versus West Virginia Wesleyan...had seven multiple-hit outings during the season...tallied 67 putouts and 88 assists while committing just five errors.

1997: Enjoyed a fantastic rookie season as a starter at shortstop in all 29 games he played in...finished the year with a .282 batting average, 18 runs scored and 11 RBI...struck out just six times in 103 at bats...stole 6-of-8 bases which was third-most on the squad...had a seven-game hitting streak, his longest of the season, during which he batted .444 with 12 hits, five runs scored and five RBI...after missing 12 games with torn ligaments in his foot, returned to the lineup against IUPUI and hit .583 for the four-game series with seven hits, four RBI and four runs scored...had eight multiple-hit games during the season, including a 3-for-4 showing in his first collegiate outing against Rollins College.

Prep/Personal: Lettered four years as a pitcher/shortstop at Mendota High School while serving as team captain in his final two seasons...a three-time NCIC Southwest First Team All-Conference a senior, batted .458 and led the Trojans to a 28-9 record and the NCIC Championship...earned most valuable player honors and was a member of the all-tournament squad after Mendota finished runner-up in the Illinois state tournament...selected a First Team All-State honoree by the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association...holds the Mendota school records for doubles (33), hits (146), walks (56) and wins (22) in a career...also owns the school mark for hits (60), runs scored (43), doubles (16), innings pitched (76) and strikeouts (97) in a single season...a member of the National Honor Society...born July 11, 1978...son of Rich and Cherie Duke...a Finance major.
