2007: Appeared in five contests out of the bullpen before a lumbar herniated disc sidelined his season...earned a medical redshirt as a result of the injury, retaining two years of eligibility...made UIC debut against No. 19 Tennessee on March 4. Prior to UIC: Competed for Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas for two seasons...part of two Jayhawk East title-winning teams...went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI in his only action of the season for the Tigers before sitting out with an injury...hit .365 with 12 stolen bases during his freshman season...went 8-2 with a 2.18 ERA, the lowest on the team, in 10 appearances in 2005. Prep/Personal: Lettered four years as a pitcher and outfielder at Carl Albert High School...two-time conference player of the year...conference tournament MVP as a senior...all-state outfielder who hit most home runs (12) in class 5A as a senior....also owned the most strikeouts (110) in class 5A as a senior...hit .401 in 32 games while going a perfect 16-for-16 in steal attempts...went 11-2 and saved four games with a 1.79 ERA in 98 innings of work...all-state honorable mention during junior year in which he hit .460 with 13 home runs, 13 doubles, 15 steals and five triples while posting a 1.28 ERA in 91 IP with 108 strikeouts and a 12-1 record on the mound...guided the Titans to a 5A state tournament appearance as a sophomore...also played on both sides of the ball on the Albert football team and lettered as a forward on the hardwood for the Titans...born August 26, 1986...son of Dennis and Connie Dotson...major is criminal justice.
