Career: UIC's most experienced player heading into 2009 with 147 career games to his credit, including 115 starts...62 starts at first base, 39 starts in left field, six starts at second base, six starts as the DH and a pair of starts at third base...career batting average of .315 heading into 2009...team's active career leader in runs batted in (78), doubles (27), extra-base hits (42) and tied for the lead in active career homers (11)...37 career multi-hit games.

2008: Hit .332 (67-for-202) in 51 games, starting 50...started 38 games in left field...led team with 16 doubles...drove in 39 runs...led Horizon League with seven sacrifice flies...ranked 23rd nationally in sacrifice flies...stole eight bases in 12 attempts...hit four home runs...posted team's longest hitting streak for second straight season at 14 games from Apr. 20-May 17....ended season on six-game hit streak...had 21 multi-hit games...NCAA College Station Regional All-Tournament Team selection after hitting .357 (5-for-14) in three regional games...drove in tying and go-ahead runs on a two-run double with two out in the top of the ninth at Vanderbilt on Mar. 6...singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth at Wright State on Mar. 29.

2006: Appeared in 42 games...hit .296 (24-for-81)...scored 12 runs...drove in 10 runs...hit a homer and two doubles...cranked out his first collegiate homer in the second game of a twinbill at Butler on Apr. 22.

2005: Used season as redshirt campaign, retaining four years of eligibility.

Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner playing as a third baseman/second baseman at Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Ill.... named to the 2004 All-Area Calumet Region baseball team...led region with school records in doubles (19) and runs scored (46)...special mention selection to 2004 South Suburban All-Area team...selected as Marian Catholic's Team MVP for the 2003 summer league after batting .440 with three homers and 14 RBI...led Spartans with a .409 batting average as a senior...garnered Sauk Prairie Fall League MVP honors after batting .548 as a senior... batted .388 with 33 runs scored and 23 RBI as a junior...also lettered three years as a guard on the Marian Catholic basketball team...born September 9, 1985...son of John and Deborah Carr...majoring in movement science.
