2002 Highlights: Pitched two innings in three outings for UIC…struck out a pair of batters in an inning of work in a 20-6 victory over Judson College on April 16th…tossed an inning of scoreless relief against the University of Chicago on April 10th. 2001 Highlights: Tossed 16.2 innings early in the year, before injury sidelined him the remainder of the season…compiled a 7.56 ERA in his limited action with nine strikeouts and a 0-1 record. Prep/Personal: Lettered three years as a pitcher, first baseman and right fielder at Sandburg High School…as a senior, on the mound he compiled a team-leading 2.71 ERA and registered 62 strikeouts with just 20 walks in 62 innings pitched…compiled a 7-3 record with his seven victories the most on the squad…at the plate, he batted .360 with 31 hits, 33 runs scored and a team-high 35 RBI…extra-base hits included 10 doubles, one triple and five home runs…following the year, he garnered SICA West All-Conference honors as well as all-area accolades…in 1999, he helped the Eagles collect the SICA West Conference championship, a state regional title and earn a spot in the sectional semifinals while finishing up the year with a 30-10 overall record as he compiled a team-low 2.16 ERA and a 9-4 record on the mound…in 74.2 innings pitched, he struck out 73 batters while giving up just 19 walks…as a freshman, he played on the sophomore team and compiled a stellar 11-0 record with a 1.26 ERA, 70 strikeouts and 20 walks in 55.2 innings pitched…graduated from Sandburg with honors and was also a member of the National Honor Society…born October 24, 1981…son of Tom and Donna Aubin…plans to major in Psychology. |
