Andersen picks up first collegiate win in game two
Andersen comes to UIC from Fremd high school where he compiled a 9-2 record during his senior season with the Vikings. The 6-foot 4-inch righty owned a 1.90 earned run average and totaled 71 strikeouts in just 70 innings pitched in 2012 and carried a .305 batting average. Andersen piloted Fremd to its fourth-straight Mid-Suburban League title this past May.
"We're really excited about Andersen and what he can bring to the program," said head coach Mike Dee. "The big thing for us is that he likes to compete."
