Assistant Facilities Director
Serving as UIC's Assistant Director of Facilities since October 2005, Phil Ross aids the Flames with Client Services, Administrative Support, and Human Resources.
Ross raises over $1.5 million in rental revenue each fiscal year, acts as the main customer service representative for the UIC Athletic Facilities Department, and processes daily rental requests regarding the availability of over 15 venues and route them to appropriate venue coordinators.
Supporting the administration, Ross has worked directly under the General Manager of the UIC Sports Complex and with the UIC Facilities Management. He also is responsible for imputing all team practices, competitions, and outside rentals into the department's Event Management Systems software and maintains its accuracy daily.
Ross reviews applications of prospective employees, interviews candidates for open staff positions, and decides which individuals to hire. He also develops a bimonthly work schedule and payroll for 20-30 UIC Athletic Facilities staff members.
An alum of UIC, Ross graduated with a Certificate of Entrepreneurial Studies along with his Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 2004.
